This data release provides the raw analytical data, metadata and sample\ninformation for 20 zircon U-Pb age analyses from laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma\nmass spectrometry (LA-ICPMS). The two areas include the Poncha Pass area where the\nentire 71/2\u2019 Poncha Pass quadrangle and parts of five other quadrangles (Mount Ouray,\nMaysville, Salida West, Salida East, and Wellsville) were mapped at a scale of 1:24,000 (see\nMinor and others, 2019). The Deadman thrust fault is the second area, approximately 80 km\nsouthwest of the Poncha Pass area, and has been preliminarily mapped at a scale of 1:2,000. Ten new U-Pb\nages were determined for each area and include Proterozoic metavolcanic, metasedimentary,\nand metaigneous rocks as well as non-metamorphosed felsic intrusive rocks of upper\nMesozoic-Cenozoic age in the Poncha area. Rocks dated in the Deadman area include\nProterozoic basement rocks, detrital zircons in Paleozoic sedimentary rocks, and Mesozoic-\nCenozoic felsic intrusive rocks.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P96HNSNL", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.5d002021e4b0573a18f517d5.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_5d002021e4b0573a18f517d5", "keyword": ["Colorado", "Deadman Thrust Fault", "Detrital Zircon", "GGG", "Geochronology", "Geology, Geophysics, and Geochemistry Science Center", "Igneous Zircon", "LA-ICPMS", "Laramide orogeny", "Laser-Ablation Inductively-Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry", "Maysville", "Mesozoic-Cenozoic", "Mount Ouray", "Paleozoic", "Poncha Pass", "Poncha Springs", "Proterozoic", "Radiometric Dating", "Rio Grande rift", "Salida", "Salida East", "Salida West", "Sangre de Cristo Mountains", "Structural Geology", "U-Pb", "U.S. Geological Survey", "USGS", "USGS:5d002021e4b0573a18f517d5", "Uranium-Lead", "Wellsville"], "modified": "2020-09-10T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-106.09050, 37.89419, -105.60030, 38.50759", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "U-Pb zircon data for: The Poncha Pass and Deadman Creek areas, northern Sangre de Cristo Mountains of south-central Colorado"}
