The ALKALI corresponds to the carbonic acid endpoint and the TCARBN concentration is computed by the difference between the two endpoints, which were calculated using a modified Gran approach, a procedure recognized by DOE (1994). The analytical precision for TCARBN based on duplicate seawater samples was 6.3 µmol Kg-1. The accuracy of TCARBN was assessed by CRM measurements and was ±5.6 µmol Kg-1.
