The Figure 3 map of Baranov and others (1991) was scanned and georeferenced\n(BaranovEtAl-1991-Figure3-GeoreferencedScan.tif), and\nthe isopachs and other geological features were digitized and output as vector shapefiles.\nA raster grid of sediment thickness in GeoTIFF format (KomandorskyBasin-SedimentThicknessGrid.tif) was created from the\ndigitized isopachs, within a masking polygon in shapefile format (BaranovEtAl-1991-Figure3-Edge_of_Coverage.shp) based\non the extent of the isopachs.  In initial testing, the gridding algorithm did not extrapolate well to the outer edge\nof the coverage, generating grid values that yield contours not observed in the published figure.  Thus,\na CSV file of manually determined minimum and maximum sediment thickness constraint values\n(KomandorskyBasin-SedimentThickness-ManualConstraints.csv) was generated to guide the gridding algorithm in areas near\nthe edge of the grid coverage to avoid grid values that would generate false contours.
