Data were collected at 27 equidistant transects along the lower Hudson River from Troy to Riverdale, NY using a stratified random sampling design. Each month, a single sampling location was randomly selected along each transect and profiled from the water surface to the river bottom using a calibrated multiparameter sonde. \nThe dataset features 233 depth profiles containing field measurements of temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, specific conductance, turbidity, chlorophyll fluorescence, phycocyanin fluorescence, and fluorescent dissolved organic matter (fDOM). Additionally, discrete water quality data were collected simultaneously during these profile measurements.
