Numerous measures were administered to respondents to gauge\r\nvarious aspects of human development, including individual\r\ndifferences, as well as family, peer, and school influences. One of\r\nthe measures composing the Longitudinal Cohort Study was the Home\r\nObservation for Measurement of the Environment (HOME) inventory. The\r\nHOME inventory sought to observe the developmental environment in\r\nwhich children belonging to the Longitudinal Cohort Study sample were\r\nraised. The HOME inventory was designed to capture the absence or\r\npresence of certain cognitive stimuli, including varied learning\r\nexperiences and diverse educational materials. The HOME inventory also\r\nmeasured the extent and nature of the interactions that occurred\r\nbetween the subject and his or her primary caregiver, the subject and\r\nthe subject's father (if the father was not the primary caregiver),\r\nand the subject and other family members. The PHDCN version of the\r\nHOME inventory also assessed the physical conditions in and around the\r\nrespondent's home, taking careful note of the layout of the streets\r\nand buildings comprising the neighborhood.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR13594.v1", "title": "Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods (PHDCN):  Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment, Wave 1, 1994-1997"}], "identifier": "3106", "isPartOf": "3702", "issued": "2005-07-18T00:00:00", "keyword": ["adolescents", "caregivers", "child care", "child development", "child health", "childhood", "cognition", "family life", "health", "infants", "neighborhoods", "parent child relationship", "parental influence", "social behavior", "social environment", "social influences"], "language": ["eng"], "license": "http://www.usa.gov/publicdomain/label/1.0/", "modified": "2006-03-01T00:00:00", "programCode": ["011:060"], "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "National Institute of Justice", "subOrganizationOf": {"acronym": "OJP", "id": 22, "name": "Office of Justice Programs", "parentOrganization": {"acronym": "DOJ", "id": 10, "name": "Department of Justice"}, "parentOrganizationID": 10}}, "rights": "These data are restricted due to the increased risk of violation of confidentiality of respondent and subject data.", "title": "Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods (PHDCN):  Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment, Wave 1, 1994-1997"}
