The artificial substrate, consisting \nof a mixed size class of gravel, is aimed at providing a more suitable substrate for \nsturgeon eggs and early-life rearing habitat. The location of the SEPP extent was \ncreated by analyzing the egg-mat network, bathymetric features, surficial sediment \nfacies, and streamflow characteristics. The egg-mat data represent points where \nsturgeon eggs were captured in previous years, indicating a preference of spawning \nlocation. The bathymetry and surficial sediment facies data were used to delineate \nareas that were relatively flat and completely within the areas of lucustrine clay \noutcroppings. The streamflow data, consisting of acoustic doppler current profiles \nthroughout the reach, was used to determine areas where the streamflow velocities \nwere high enough to maintain sediment transport of sand and fine grained sediment \nso that deposition of that sediment would be minimal. The SEPP extent represents \nan area where sturgeon have spawned previously, located on a low sloped and \npredominanly lucstrine clay surface, and in an area of relatively high streamflow \nvelocities.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9BZ0QGH", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.2d264200-77ab-419f-9e69-b336a9d51603.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_2d264200-77ab-419f-9e69-b336a9d51603", "keyword": ["Bathymetry", "Bonners Ferry", "Geology", "ID", "Idaho", "Kootenai River", "Multibeam", "U.S. Geological Survey", "U.S. National Grid", "USA", "USGS", "USGS:2d264200-77ab-419f-9e69-b336a9d51603", "Water Depth", "bathymetry", "capacity", "contour", "elevation", "geographic names", "hydrography", "inland waters", "inlandWaters", "islands", "lakes", "lidar", "orthoimage", "topographic"], "modified": "2020-11-17T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-116.415872, 48.741230, -116.415305, 48.742747", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Myrtle Bend Substrate Enhancement Pilot Project Extent, Kootenai River near Bonners Ferry, ID, 2014"}
