Defendant organization variables include ownership\r\nstructure, number of owners and employees, highest level of corporate\r\nknowledge of the criminal offense, highest level of corporate\r\nindictment and conviction for participation in the criminal offense,\r\nannual revenue, equity and financial status, whether it was a criminal\r\norganization, duration of criminal activity, and risk to national\r\nsecurity. Organizational defendants data, 2006, covers fiscal year\r\nOctober 1, 2005, through September 30, 2006. In 1999, the United\r\nStates Sentencing Commission added more variables from its databases\r\nto this collection, so the data are now provided in two files. Several\r\nvariables iterate to include multiple occurrences of the same event.\r\nPart 1, Main Data, includes all noniterating variables plus the first\r\noccurrence of each iterating variable. Over 99 percent of the valid\r\ndata is captured in this variable for most sets of iterations.
