Samples were analyzed for trace elements using mass spectrometry, and U. peregrina was also analyzed for stable isotopes (oxygen and carbon). The data are in the form of an Excel spreadsheet. Core-top data for U. peregrina were acquired to assist in calibration work relating U. peregrina test chemistry with bottom water physical and chemical properties. This study in particular focused on the relationship between U. peregrina Mg/Ca and water temperature. These calibration efforts are intended to assist the field of paleoceanography by better constraining proxies that are used to reconstruct past ocean conditions.
