Drifters were deployed offshore of Orange Beach, AL, in the Gulf of Mexico on 24 January 2017, and transmitted until 22 May, 2017. These data were to test a prototype for a new ultra-thin surface drifter (the Stokes Drifter), and to study differences in surface currents measured from different drifter types and HF radar.
