Two existing groundwater flow \nmodels that simulated flow and water use in the Coastal Plain aquifers of North Carolina (NC), South \nCarolina (SC), and parts of Georgia and Virginia, were combined and updated to provide a single \nmodel. Revisions to the model incorporated additional hydrogeologic, geologic, water-level, and \nwater-use data and hydrogeologic inconsistencies at the NC-SC border reconciled since the \ndevelopment of the previous models.  The new model simulates groundwater flow at regional and \nintermediate special scales superimposed on a transient time scale from 1900 to 2004.  This USGS \ndata release contains all of the input and output files for the simulation and calibration described in \nthe associated model documentation report  (https://pubs.er.usgs.gov/publication/pp1773).", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/F7RJ4GJF", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.18a2302e-9743-4133-87b3-2e6f5bf47bb9.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_18a2302e-9743-4133-87b3-2e6f5bf47bb9", "keyword": ["Aquia aquifer", "Atlantic Coastal Plain", "Beaufort aquifer", "Beaufort confining unit", "Black Creek aquifer", "Black Creek confining unit", "Calvert confining unit", "Castle Hayne aquifer", "Castle Hayne confining unit", "Charleston aquifer", "Charleston confining unit", "Crouch Branch aquifer", "Crouch Branch confining unit", "Georgia", "Gordon aquifer", "Gordon confining unit", "Gramling aquifer", "Gramling confining unit", "Groundwater", "Groundwater Model", "InlandWaters", "Lower Cape Fear aquifer", "Lower Cape Fear confining unit", "Lower Dublin aquifer", "Lower Dublin confining unit", "Lower Midville aquifer", "Lower Midville confining unit", "MODFLOW", "MODFLOW-ASP", "MODFLOW2000", "McQueen Branch aquifer", "McQueen Branch confining unit", "Middle Floridan confining unit", "Millers Pond aquifer", "Millers Pond confining unit", "Nanjemoy-Marlboro confining unit", "North Carolina", "Peedee aquifer", "Peedee confining unit", "Piney Point aquifer", "Potomac confining unit", "Pungo River aquifer", "Pungo River confining unit", "Saint Mary's aquifer", "Saint Mary's confining unit", "South Carolina", "Surficial", "USGS:18a2302e-9743-4133-87b3-2e6f5bf47bb9", "Upper Cape Fear aquifer", "Upper Cape Fear confining unit", "Upper Dublin aquifer", "Upper Dublin confining unit", "Upper Floridan aquifer", "Upper Floridan confining unit", "Upper Midville aquifer", "Upper Midville confining unit", "Upper Three Runs aquifer", "Virginia", "Virginia Beach aquifer", "Virginia Beach confining unit", "Yorktown aquifer", "Yorktown confining unit", "environment", "geoscientificInformation", "inlandWaters", "usgsgroundwatermodel"], "modified": "2020-11-17T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-83.930377, 29.979721, -73.294051, 38.384948", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "MODFLOW2000 and MODFLOW-ASP models used to simulate the groundwater flow in the Atlantic Coastal Plain, North and South Carolina and parts of Georgia and Virginia, Predevelopment to 2004"}
