Palustrine Forested Wetland (13), Palustrine Shrub-Scrub Wetland (14), Estuarine Forested Wetland (16), and Estuarine Shrub-Scrub Wetland (17) are equivalent to NLCD Woody Wetlands (90), which includes both shrubland and forest. Palustrine Emergent Wetland (15) and Estuarine Emergent Wetland (18) are equivalent to NLCD emergent herbaceous (95). Unconsolidated Shore (19) is not a category in the NLCD, but it is categorized as Barren Land in Anderson; we have grouped it with NLCD Barren (31). Palustrine Aquatic Bed (21) is Open Water in Anderson; we have grouped it with NLCD Open Water (11). Impervious Surface: The NLCD developed classes, Developed Open Space (21), Developed Low Intensity (22), Developed Medium Intensity (23), and Developed High Intensity (24), are based on the percentages of constructed surface per pixel. Because C-CAP is higher resolution, there are few mixed pixels, so it only includes Impervious and Developed Open Space classes. For the purposes of EnviroAtlas land cover calculations, the four NLCD developed classes are generally grouped together; the same can be done with Impervious Surface and Developed Open Space in C-CAP where appropriate.
