To investigate coyote resting and feeding sites, we used the MoveApps platform, a cloud-based, no\ncode environment for analyzing animal movement by building modular workflows. Nighttime feeding clusters were island-wide on both South Core Banks (SCB) and Shackleford Banks (SB). On SCB, feeding points formed a continuous strand along the ocean beach; sound-side was sparse north of the Les and Sally Cabins but common south of that area. In summer, when visitation peaks, feeding is mostly concentrated south of Great Island Camp; in other seasons, clusters were more broadly distributed. On SB, feeding clusters occurred both on the ocean-side and sound-side beaches, creating two coastal bands that wrap around the island. Notably, we did not identify any feeding clusters on the small islands/islets Azula used to cross between Shackleford Banks \u2194 Morgan Island \u2194 South Core Banks.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "GIS shapefiles for Coyote Feeding Sites", "downloadURL": "https://irma.nps.gov/DataStore/DownloadFile/757800?Reference=2318029", "format": "zip", "mediaType": "application/zip", "title": "Coyote Feeding Sites Shapefiles.zip"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/NPS_DataStore_2318029", "issued": "2026-03-10T00:00:00Z", "keyword": ["CAHA", "CALO", "IMD", "Inventory and Assessment Program", "Islands", "Movement", "NPS", "NPS Inventory and Monitoring Division", "National Park Service", "Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge", "Population Dynamics", "Species Inventory", "coyote"], "landingPage": "https://irma.nps.gov/DataStore/Reference/Profile/2318029", "modified": "2026-03-10T00:00:00Z", "programCode": ["010:118", "010:119"], "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "National Park Service"}, "spatial": "-76.66574,34.58124,-75.46009,35.9065247", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Coyote Inventory - Coyote Feeding Sites - Geospatial Dataset for Cape Hatteras and Cape Lookout National Seashores and Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge"}
