In this paper, three cores from the heterogeneous reservoir, available through West Virginia Geologic and Economic Survey, are analyzed by performing core analysis using CT scanning and permeability measurements via minipermeameter. Additional geological data are collected through cores, published literature, seismic data, and nearby, existing wells to estimate thickness, fracture network configuration and geothermal gradient to minimize the uncertainty of well deliverability. Using these estimated reservoir properties; a 3D conceptual model for the proposed geothermal site is developed. \n\nThis dataset includes a GRC conference publication along with the data used to produce results explained in the paper including minipermeability measurement data for Preston -119 core and thin section analysis photos and data for Clay-513 core.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://gdr.openei.org/files/1097/Clay_513%20Thin%20Section%20Photos_RMcDowell.pptx", "description": "Clay-513 Thin Section analysis Picutres", "format": "pptx", "mediaType": "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.presentationml.presentation", "title": "Clay-513 Thin Section Photos.pptx"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://gdr.openei.org/files/1097/Clay_513_ThinSection_Desc_RMcDowell.xlsx", "description": "Clay-513 Thin Section analysis Observations", "format": "xlsx", "mediaType": "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet", "title": "Clay-513 Thin Section Descriptions.xlsx"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://gdr.openei.org/files/1097/GRC2018_DDU_WVU.pptx", "description": "Conference Presentation\n", "format": "pptx", "mediaType": "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.presentationml.presentation", "title": "2018 GRC Presentation.pptx"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://gdr.openei.org/files/1097/GRC_2018_RevisiedPaper_WVU.pdf", "description": "Conference Paper", "format": "pdf", "mediaType": "application/pdf", "title": "2018 GRC Paper.pdf"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://gdr.openei.org/files/1097/Preston-119_FINAL_core_permeability_illustrated.xlsx", "description": "Preston-119 Mini permeability measurement data", "format": "xlsx", "mediaType": "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet", "title": "Preston-119 Final Core Permeability.xlsx"}], "identifier": "https://data.openei.org/submissions/7246", "issued": "2018-10-23T06:00:00Z", "keyword": ["3D", "Clay-513", "Core Analysis", "Direct Use", "Preston-119", "Tuscarora Sandstone", "analysis", "data", "ddu", "deep", "energy", "feasibility", "flow rate", "geofluid", "geologic model", "geology", "geothermal", "grc", "minipermeability", "paper", "parameter estimation", "permeability", "photos", "presentation", "reservoir", "study", "thin section", "wvu"], "landingPage": "https://gdr.openei.org/submissions/1097", "license": "https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/", "modified": "2019-02-07T23:51:45Z", "programCode": ["019:006"], "projectLead": "Arlene Anderson", "projectNumber": "EE0008105", "projectTitle": "Feasibility of Deep Direct Use Geothermal on the West Virginia University Campus-Morgantown, WV", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "West Virginia University"}, "spatial": "{\"type\":\"Polygon\",\"coordinates\":[[[-79.960104162557,39.613532703898],[-79.960104162557,39.613532703898],[-79.960104162557,39.613532703898],[-79.960104162557,39.613532703898],[-79.960104162557,39.613532703898]]]}", "title": "Development of 3D Geological Model of Tuscarora Sandstone for Feasibility of Deep Direct-Use Geothermal at West Virginia University Main Campus"}
