A total of 141 guano samples were taken from live bats captured (and recaptured) with mist netting techniques (n=123), collected from roosting bats while under observation (n=12), and salvaged from bat carcasses (n=6).  As part of the 141 samples, we incorporated comparable raw guano sequence data generated from 11 bats captured during ecological research conducted on Maui by H.T. Harvey & Associates.
