It is an important \ncomponent of the groundwater budget, and can be estimated using known total streamflow \nat given points through time. Daily streamflow data was collected from 25 streamflow gaging \nstations across the northern High Plains Groundwater Availability Study (NHPGAS) area from \nthe National Water Information System (NWIS) and the Nebraska Department of Natural \nResources Stream Gaging Data Bank. The data from each site was processed using the \nBFI program, version 4.15 (Wahl and Wahl, 2007) to determine the baseflow component \nof total streamflow at each site. The average daily baseflow was computed for the year of \n1940. The resulting baseflow values were applied as calibration targets to the end of the \npredevelopment model.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9PERP55", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.d7115f1f-fe2f-4627-9c6f-4e3de2d070a7.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_d7115f1f-fe2f-4627-9c6f-4e3de2d070a7", "keyword": ["Big Blue River", "Calamus River", "Cedar River", "Dismal River", "Elkhorn River", "Frenchman Creek", "Kansas", "Lodgepole Creek", "Loup River", "Middle Loup River", "Nebraska", "Niobrara River", "North Loup River", "North Platte River", "Platte River", "Republican River", "South Dakota", "South Loup River", "USGS:d7115f1f-fe2f-4627-9c6f-4e3de2d070a7", "baseflow", "environment", "geohydrology", "geoscientificInformation", "groundwater", "groundwater availability", "hydrologic models", "inlandWaters", "northern High Plains", "surface-groundwater relations"], "modified": "2020-11-17T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-104.049865, 39.769109, -96.278814, 42.848936", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "DS-777 Spatial Location of Gages with Total Flow and estimated Base Flow, for the Predevelopment Simulation Period for the Northern High Plains Groundwater-Flow Model in Parts of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming"}
