The Permian-age Garber Sandstone and Wellington\nFormations consist of sandstone with interbedded siltstone\nand mudstone. The Permian-age Chase, Council Grove, and\nAdmire Groups consist of sandstone, shale, and thin\nlimestone.\nThe recharge data set was created from digital data sets\ndeveloped to produce a map for a previously published\nreport. Most of the recharge to the Central Oklahoma aquifer\nis infiltration of precipitation through outcrops of the\nGarber Sandstone and Wellington Formations, the Chase,\nCouncil Grove, and Admire Groups, and the alluvial and\nterrace deposits.
