The data were acquired from 20170216 - 20170220. The data includes topobathy data in an LAS 1.2 format file classified as unclassified (1), ground (2), noise (7), bathymetric point (26), submerged object (29), and International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) S-57 object (30) in accordance with the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) classification standards. This data set may also include lidar intensity values and encoded RGB image values. The DEM was created from the bathymetric points (class 26) using las2dem from LAStools and GDAL. This lidar data are an ancillary product of NOAA's Coastal Mapping Program (CMP), created through a wider Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping initiative to increase support for multiple uses of the data. It is not intended for mapping, charting, or navigation. In addition, it will be used for ongoing research efforts for testing and developing standards for airborne lidar. Converted from UTM Zone 17 to geographic coordinates 2. Sorted by gps time 3. Compressed the data using laszip 2017-02-01T00:00:00 The point cloud data were converted to UTM zone 17N coordinates and tiled into 10 million point LAZ files or smaller using lastile from LAStools. Tiles incorporated a buffer to allow DEM creation one tile at a time.
