Samples (in the form of mounted loose grains) were prepared and analyzed for direct age dating on a laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (LA\u2013ICPMS) system at the USGS in Denver, Colorado from February 2017 to June 2019.  The data indicate that high tin concentrations in the Yazov Granite are caused by inheritance of older cassiterite crystals and may imply that these granites cannot be genetically related to primary tin ore deposits of the region.  These results have broad implications in understanding how critical elements, like tin, are enriched in rare-metal granites.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P97WPI1T", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.5e8df35782cee42d13469634.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_5e8df35782cee42d13469634", "keyword": ["GGGSC", "Geology, Geophysics, and Geochemistry Science Center", "LA-ICPMS", "MRP", "Mineral Resources Program", "Russia", "Siberia", "Transbaikalia", "U-Pb", "U.S. Geological Survey", "USGS", "USGS:5e8df35782cee42d13469634", "Yazov Granite", "cassiterite", "geochronology", "geoscientific information", "laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer", "lead", "mineral deposits", "thorium", "uranium", "uranium-lead analysis", "zircon"], "modified": "2020-10-20T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "113.050, 58.866, 114.417, 59.300", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "U-Pb data for inherited cassiterite in \"Tin Granites\", an example from the Yazov Granite, Eastern Siberia"}
