These data include averages of magnetic susceptibility from 2 to 12 measurements per site made with a handheld meter, quantifying magnetic contrasts between rock units that could be detected in geophysical surveys. Laboratory measurements for oriented samples from 16 sites in the Oligocene granite of Chokecherry Canyon define: (1) pluton magnetic fabric from anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) and (2) characteristics of the pluton remanent magnetization.
