The Enid\nisolated terrace aquifer covers approximately 82 square miles\nand supplies water for irrigation, domestic, municipal, and\nindustrial use for the City of Enid and western Garfield County.\nThe Quaternary-age Enid isolated terrace aquifer is composed of\nterrace deposits that consist of discontinuous layers of clay,\nsandy clay, sand, and gravel. The aquifer is unconfined and is\nbounded by the underlying Permian-age Hennessey Group on the\neast and the Cedar Hills Sandstone Formation of the Permian-age\nEl Reno Group on the west. The Cedar Hills Sandstone Formation\nfills a channel beneath the thickest section of the Enid\nisolated terrace aquifer in the midwestern part of the aquifer.\n\t\t\nThe aquifer boundaries were digitized and created from\ninformation and maps in a ground-water modeling thesis and\nreport of the Enid isolated terrace aquifer. The map digitized\nwas published at a scale of 1:62,500.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9EIUKS1", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.9f649ffe-97ce-4aae-9ea2-48d3a29ef940.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_9f649ffe-97ce-4aae-9ea2-48d3a29ef940", "keyword": ["Enid aquifer", "Enid isolated terrace aquifer", "Enid terrace aquifer", "USGS:9f649ffe-97ce-4aae-9ea2-48d3a29ef940", "aquifer boundary", "aquifers", "environment", "geoscientificInformation", "ground water", "ground-water vulnerability", "groundwater", "groundwater vulnerability", "inlandWaters", "terrace aquifer", "terrace deposit"], "modified": "2020-11-17T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-97.9734, 36.3665, -97.7536, 36.5137", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Digital data sets that describe aquifer characteristics of the Enid isolated terrace aquifer in northwestern Oklahoma"}
