Elevated nitrate concentrations \nabove the background concentration have been detected in recently recharged (less than 50 years) \nground water in the High Plains aquifer. This data set is derived from empirical models developed using \nmultivariate logistic regression to evaluate the vulnerability of the High Plains aquifer to nitrate contamination \nfrom nonpoint sources. This data set was generated in a geographic information system from these models \nand represents the spatial extent of vulnerability of nitrate contamination greater than 4 mg/L across the aquifer.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9V2D0AH", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.e3bbfad9-3fe3-4a31-9a92-22ab54865f96.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_e3bbfad9-3fe3-4a31-9a92-22ab54865f96", "keyword": ["Colorado", "Great Plains region", "Ground water", "High Plains aquifer", "Kansas", "Nebraska", "New Mexico", "Nitrate contamination", "Oklahoma", "South Dakota", "Texas", "USGS:e3bbfad9-3fe3-4a31-9a92-22ab54865f96", "Vulnerability", "Wyoming", "environment", "geoscientificInformation", "inlandWaters", "western U.S."], "modified": "2020-11-17T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-106.016458, 31.652762, -96.257462, 43.807085", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Percentage of probability of nonpoint-source nitrate contamination of recently recharged ground water in the High Plains aquifer"}
