These data were collected in support of groundwater salinity mapping and hydrogeologic framework development as part of the U.S. Geological Survey California Oil, Gas, and Groundwater program and the California State Water Resources Control Board\u2019s Oil and Gas Regional Monitoring Program. Data were acquired by SkyTEM ApS with the SkyTEM 312 time-domain helicopter-borne electromagnetic system together with a Geometrics G822A cesium vapor magnetometer. The survey was flown at a nominal flight height of 35 m above terrain along block-style lines with a nominal spacing of 300 m. The AEM typical maximum depth of investigation is between 150 and 300 m.  This data release includes minimally processed (raw) AEM and raw/processed magnetic data, fully processed AEM data used for resistivity model development, and laterally constrained inverted resistivity models.  \nThe complete data package received from the contractor is included in separate zip-file directory and described in the contractor's report.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9LFGESW", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.6197ec00d34eb622f692eebf.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_6197ec00d34eb622f692eebf", "keyword": ["Buena Vista Oil Field", "CAWSC", "California", "California Water Science Center", "Cymric Oil Field", "Elk Hills", "Elk Hills Oil Field", "GGGSC", "Geology, Geophysics, and Geochemistry Science Center", "Kern County", "North Coles Levee Oil Field", "San Joaquin Valley", "South Coles Levee Oil Field", "USGS:6197ec00d34eb622f692eebf", "aeromagnetic surveying", "electromagnetic surveying", "environment", "geophysics", "geoscientificInformation", "geospatial datasets", "groundwater", "groundwater quality", "hydrogeology", "resistivity", "salinity"], "modified": "2025-03-18T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-119.6684, 35.0325, -119.1508, 35.4847", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey data, southwestern San Joaquin Valley near Elk Hills, California, 2017"}
