The monthly data distribution plots are provided for each year. The monthly climatic maps of temperature and salinity at the sea surface and depth levels of 5 and 10 meters, are computed using objective analysis. Intra-annual variability of temperature and salinity of the Sea of Azov is discussed with respect to the quality control of the primary data. The Atlas also includes, in electronic format, selected copies of rare books and articles about the history of the Sea of Azov exploration and climate studies as well as photos, which provide information about the people and environment of this region.
