Acoustic sonar technology was used to monitor fish activity following restoration and reconnection of a hydrologically isolated wetland pool to the wider Lake Erie system. Fish activity was measured during 56 multi-day observational events spanning four years following reconnection (2011-2014). Each hour of acoustic data was processed as an observational unit using a combination of commercial and purpose-built software. The resulting dataset quantifies fish activity and characterizes this movement as immigration into or emigration out of the restored area for 2,022 hours of observation.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P1NBW3ZR", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.6740a4a7d34e565ca5dd5cd2.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_6740a4a7d34e565ca5dd5cd2", "keyword": ["Lake Erie", "Laurentian Great Lakes", "Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge", "USGS:6740a4a7d34e565ca5dd5cd2", "environment", "farming", "fish", "freshwater ecosystems", "inlandWaters", "multibeam sonar", "sonar methods", "wetland ecosystems"], "modified": "2025-01-29T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-83.215084, 41.618651, -83.201351, 41.625195", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Fish activity and movement information derived from acoustic monitoring of a restored Lake Erie coastal wetland from 2011-2014"}
