The domestic-supply wells were assessed in 2021 as part of the California State Water Resources Control Board Groundwater Ambient Monitoring and Assessment (GAMA) program. Study design and site selection for the Kern County Subbasin domestic well study unit were detailed by Faulkner and Dupuy (2023). The data types in this data release include site identification and location, land use characteristics, groundwater age and oxidation-reduction classifications and aridity indices, proximity to geographic, hydrologic, and geologic features, and total detections of organic compounds. Water-quality data for the sites are available from U.S. Geological Survey (2023) and Faulkner and Dupuy (2023).
