Sediment was transported to Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA). A series of laboratory consolidation tests were performed under room temperature (about 20 degree C). During the experiments, two salinities at 1 and 5 psu and four initial sediment concentrations of slurry at 10, 40, 60 and 120 g/L were used. The elevation of water sediment interface was tracked through time to measure the sediment consolidation process. See similar methods from Lo et al.(2014) and Sha et al. (2018). This dataset is available to the public for a wide variety of uses including scientific research and analysis.
