Zircon from six samples of discrete plutons across a regional transect were dated by sensitive high resolution ion microprobe (SHRIMP). SHRIMP U-Pb ages of igneous rocks connect the igneous activity to structural history, crustal depths, and origins of epigenetic gold-silver-antimony-tungsten\u00b1mercury mineral deposits. Zircon from four samples of metasedimentary rocks in the southern part of the central Idaho mineral province were dated - three by laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICPMS) methods and one by SHRIMP methods - to provide maximum depositional ages and details about original sedimentary provenances.
