Recording locations were selected for a series of projects of Naval relevance, and include: Pacific Region: Arctic, Bering and Beaufort, Point Sur Southern California, Gulf of California, Atlantic Region: Onslow Bay.Each dataset represents one deployment of a moored HARP or ARP system. Sample rates, recording schedules, sensor designs and recording quality vary. Dataset specific details are also provided within each dataset's documentation. From 2000-2010, long-duration underwater acoustic recordings were autonomously collected with US Navy and other support by the Whale Acoustic Laboratory of Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California San Diego.
