G-LiHT primarily focuses on a broad diversity of forest communities and ecoregions in North America, mapping aerial swaths over the Conterminous United States (CONUS), Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.\n\nThe purpose of G-LiHT\u2019s Digital Terrain Model Keyhole Markup Language (KML) data product (GLDTMK) is to provide LiDAR-derived bare earth elevation, aspect and slope on the EGM96 Geopotential Model. Scientists at NASA\u2019s Goddard Space Flight Center began collecting data over locally-defined areas in 2011 and the collection will continue to grow as aerial campaigns are flown and processed.  \n\nGLDTMK data are processed as a Google Earth overlay KML file at a nominal 1 meter spatial resolution over locally-defined areas. A low resolution browse is also provided showing the digital terrain with a color map applied in JPEG format.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "conformsTo": "http://www.isotc211.org/2005/gmi", "description": "The metadata's original source.", "downloadURL": "https://cmr.earthdata.nasa.gov/search/concepts/C2763264719-LPCLOUD.iso19115", "format": "ISO", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "downloadURL": "https://data.lpdaac.earthdatacloud.nasa.gov/lp-prod-public/GLDTMK.001/GLDTMK_Harrisonburg_boresight_June2018_DTM/GLDTMK_Harrisonburg_boresight_June2018_DTM.1.png", "format": "PNG", "mediaType": "image/png"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "downloadURL": "https://doi.org/10.5067/Community/GLIHT/GLDTMK.001", "format": "BIN", "mediaType": "application/octet-stream"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "downloadURL": "https://gliht.gsfc.nasa.gov/", "format": "BIN", "mediaType": "application/octet-stream"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "downloadURL": "https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/documents/1572/G-LiHT_User_Guide_V4.pdf", "format": "PDF", "mediaType": "application/pdf"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "downloadURL": "https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search/granules?p=C2763264719-LPCLOUD", "format": "BIN", "mediaType": "application/octet-stream"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "downloadURL": "https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/centers/lp-daac", "format": "BIN", "mediaType": "application/octet-stream"}], "identifier": "10.5067/Community/GLIHT/GLDTMK.001", "keyword": ["earth-science-topography-land-surface", "earth-science-topography-land-surface-terrain-elevation"], "license": "https://www.usa.gov/government-works", "modified": "2026-06-22", "programCode": ["026:000"], "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "LP DAAC;NASA/GSFC/SED/ESD"}, "spatial": "[\"GEODETIC\", [{\"NorthBoundingCoordinate\": 73, \"WestBoundingCoordinate\": -170, \"EastBoundingCoordinate\": -50, \"SouthBoundingCoordinate\": 10}]]", "temporal": "2011-06-30/2026-06-15", "theme": ["Earth Science"], "title": "G-LiHT Digital Terrain Model KML V001"}
