The goal of the geochronology work is to determine when shoreface sediments, which represent the oceanward extent of the spit, were present at the surface for the Provincetown Hook. Results from this work support efforts to publish more recent sedimentological and geochronological data from outer Cape Cod. There were five cores that were sampled for optically stimulated luminescence (OSL\u037e PH04-D08, PH06-D05, PH06-D09, PH08-D04, and PH10-D05). The initial sampling was done at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI) in order to optimize core access and storage.
