The Enid isolated terrace aquifer covers approximately\n82 square miles and supplies water for irrigation, domestic,\nmunicipal, and industrial use for the City of Enid and western\nGarfield County. The Quaternary-age Enid isolated terrace\naquifer is composed of terrace deposits that consist of\ndiscontinuous layers of clay, sandy clay, sand, and gravel. The\naquifer is unconfined and is bounded by the underlying\nPermian-age Hennessey Group on the east and the Cedar Hills\nSandstone Formation of the Permian-age El Reno Group on the\nwest. Cedar Hills Sandstone Formation fills a channel beneath\nthe thickest section of the Enid isolated terrace aquifer in the\nmidwestern part of the aquifer.\nThe water-level elevation contours were digitized from a\nphotocopy of a paper map in a ground-water modeling thesis and\nreport. The map digitized was published at a scale of 1:62,500\nshows that the ground-water elevations in 1973 ranged from about\n1,360 feet above sea level at the northwestern edge to about\n1,150 feet above sea level at the southeastern edge of the\naquifer.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9LLRSNW", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.306054ab-51c5-4fce-9f26-2cd159529d35.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_306054ab-51c5-4fce-9f26-2cd159529d35", "keyword": ["Enid aquifer", "Enid isolated terrace aquifer", "Enid terrace aquifer", "USGS:306054ab-51c5-4fce-9f26-2cd159529d35", "aquifers", "environment", "geoscientificInformation", "ground water", "ground-water level elevation", "ground-water level elevation contours", "ground-water levels", "ground-water vulnerability", "groundwater", "groundwater level elevation", "groundwater level elevation contours", "groundwater levels", "groundwater vulnerability", "inlandWaters", "terrace aquifer", "terrace deposit", "water level contours", "water level elevation", "water level elevation contours", "water levels", "water-level contours", "water-level elevation", "water-level elevation contours"], "modified": "2020-11-17T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-97.9733, 36.3703, -97.7536, 36.5050", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Digital data sets that describe aquifer characteristics of the Enid isolated terrace aquifer in northwestern Oklahoma"}
