The Landsat-7 satellite is part of an ongoing mission to provide quality remote \nsensing data in support of research and applications activities. The launch of Landsat-7 on \nApril 15, 1999 marks the addition of the latest satellite to the Landsat series. The Landsat-7 \nsatellite carries the Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) sensor.  A mechanical failure \nof the ETM+ Scan Line Corrector (SLC) occurred on May 31, 2003, with the result that all \nLandsat 7 scenes acquired from July 14, 2003 to present have been collected in 'SLC-off' \nmode.
