This model is a re-trained version of the\nDeepFaune model for classifying European species in trial cameras, fine-tuned to classify taxa from northeastern North America. The DFNE model takes as input cropped images of each animal, which can be generated by an object detection model. DFNE classifies 24 taxa, including the \"no-species\" label indicating the absence of an animal. \nThis data release includes metadata for the training dataset used to train DFNE (.csv) and model parameters for running it (.pth).
