County CMR, PM2.5, and socioeconomic data were obtained from the U.S. National Center for Health Statistics, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency\u2019s Community Multiscale Air Quality modeling system, and the U.S. Census, respectively. A socioeconomic index was created using seven county-level measures from the 1990 US census using factor analysis.
