This area encompasses all or part\nof Cleveland, Lincoln, Logan, Oklahoma, Payne, and Pottawatomie\nCounties. The Central Oklahoma aquifer includes the alluvial\nand terrace deposits along major streams, the Garber Sandstone\nand Wellington Formations, and the Chase, Council Grove, and\nAdmire Groups.\n\t\t\nThe Quaternary-age alluvial and terrace deposits consist of\nunconsolidated clay, silt, sand, and gravel. The Permian-age\nGarber Sandstone and Wellington Formations consist of sandstone\nwith interbedded siltstone and mudstone. The Permian-age Chase,\nCouncil Grove, and Admire Groups consist of sandstone, shale,\nand thin limestone.\n\t\t\nThe Central Oklahoma aquifer underlies about 3,000 square miles\nof central Oklahoma where the aquifer is used extensively for\nmunicipal, industrial, commercial, and domestic water supplies.\nMost of the usable ground water within the aquifer is from the\nGarber Sandstone and Wellington Formations. Substantial\nquantities of usable ground water also are present in the\nChase, Council Grove, and Admire Groups, and in alluvial and\nterrace deposits associated with the major streams.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P96OHKOI", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.b8d24599-73ed-460b-b2b5-4fd76e2187a9.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_b8d24599-73ed-460b-b2b5-4fd76e2187a9", "keyword": ["Admire Group", "Central Oklahoma aquifer", "Chase Group", "Council Grove Group", "Garber Sandstone", "USGS:b8d24599-73ed-460b-b2b5-4fd76e2187a9", "Wellington Formation", "aquifer boundary", "aquifers", "environment", "geoscientificInformation", "ground water", "ground-water vulnerability", "groundwater", "groundwater vulnerability", "inlandWaters"], "modified": "2020-11-17T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-97.6620, 34.9005, -96.7706, 36.0047", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Digital data sets that describe aquifer characteristics of the Central Oklahoma aquifer in central Oklahoma"}
