"description": "Continuous synthesis of monoalkylhydrazines (I). Continuous synthesis of monoalkylhydrazines (I) comprises: (a) reaction of anhydrous amine NH 2R (II) and monochloroamine (III) at 25-45[deg]C in alkaline medium; (b) separating the reaction mixture into organic and aqueous phases by adding anhydrous sodium hydroxide, with cooling such that the separation temperature does not exceed the boiling points of the compounds; and (c) isolating (I) from the separated organic phase. R : 2-6C alkenyl or alkynyl, 1-5C alkyl containing an imino (C=N) group, or 1-6C alkyl, linear or branched, and substituted by at least one of hydroxy, 1-6C alkoxy, C=NH, cyano, phenoxy, carboxy, 1-6C alkoxycarbonyl, phenyl or NR 3R 4; R 3 and R 41-6C alkyl or together complete a 2-6C ring.",
