Samples were collected from a range of different depths and distances from the crater rim, all within the proximal ejecta blanket. By using the Meteor Crater Sample Collection, in which all samples have known geospatial locations, we are able to quantify the spatial relationship and variability between mixing of melted target rocks and the Canyon Diablo meteorite. Presented here are high-resolution backscattered electron images of all analyzed impact melt particles, and geochemical data for glass and individual mineral phases within the particles.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9OGAJ8P", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.64d672a0d34ef477cf3e135a.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_64d672a0d34ef477cf3e135a", "keyword": ["Arizona", "Canyon Diablo", "Ejecta blanket", "Impact melt", "Meteor Crater", "USGS:64d672a0d34ef477cf3e135a", "geochemistry", "geoscientificInformation", "impact cratering"], "modified": "2025-04-15T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-111.05667, 35.00188, -110.98560, 35.05248", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Geochemistry and High-Resolution Backscattered Electron Imaging of Meteor Crater Impact Melts"}
