The hypothetical model is a single-layer \nmodel with 30 rows and 100 columns.  The hypothetical model is used to develop methods to create \ncapture difference maps and to calculate and characterize capture map bias with sensitivity analyses.  \nThe hypothetical stream-aquifer system generally represents the arid western U.S.; however, the \nmethods developed with this model can be applied to any model used to generate capture maps, \nregardless of location.  The model simulates a hypothetical 200-year transient stress period after \na steady-state stress period.  This time period loosely represents 1960 \u2013 2160; however, actual \ntime is not represented.  The MODFLOW model includes a stream (represented with the \nMODFLOW SFR or CHD Packages), mountain block recharge (represented with the MODFLOW \nRCH Package), and evapotranspiration (represented with the MODFLOW EVT Package). This \nUSGS data release contains all of the input and output files for the simulations described in the \nassociated journal article (https://doi.org/10.1111/gwat.12597).", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/F7639NN9", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.d6c28420-e3cc-4605-96ef-7dd7e3cbf82e.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_d6c28420-e3cc-4605-96ef-7dd7e3cbf82e", "keyword": ["Capture", "Capture Difference Maps", "Capture Map Bias", "Capture Maps", "Groundwater", "Groundwater Model", "InlandWaters", "MODFLOW", "MODFLOW-NWT", "Streamflow Depletion", "USGS:d6c28420-e3cc-4605-96ef-7dd7e3cbf82e", "environment", "geoscientificInformation", "inlandWaters", "usgsgroundwatermodel"], "modified": "2020-11-17T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-180.000000, -90.000000, 180.000000, 90.000000", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "MODFLOW-NWT model of a hypothetical stream-aquifer system to assess capture map bias"}
