Two sites, \"Horsethief Campground\" and \"Salt Valley\", which have differing vegetation and soil characteristics, were mapped over three days. A DJI Matrice 600 Pro UAS equipped with a Headwall Nano-Hyperspec sensor captured hyperspectral imagery with 274 spectral bands spanning the visible and near-infrared (VNIR) wavelengths 398 to 1002 nm. A Skydio X10-VT300L UAS with an integrated longwave-infrared (LWIR) FLIR Boson+ sensor captured radiometric thermal images. Survey control was established using Propeller AeroPoint temporary ground control points (GCPs) distributed throughout the survey area and deployed daily. \nThis section of the data release presents UAS hyperspectral orthorectified reflectance images generated using the sensor manufacturer's recommended processing workflow.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P13JBENN", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.695d55bbd4be0208d90f3244.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_695d55bbd4be0208d90f3244", "keyword": ["AeroPoints", "DJI Matrice 600", "FLIR Boson+", "GECSC", "GPS measurement", "Geosciences and Environmental Change Science Center", "Grand County (1448024)", "Ground control point", "Headwall Nano-Hyperspec", "Moab (1430389)", "National Land Imaging Program", "Propeller", "Skydio X10", "State of Utah (1455989)", "U.S. Geological Survey", "UAS", "USGS", "USGS:695d55bbd4be0208d90f3244", "Uncrewed Aircraft System", "aerial photography", "drone", "environment", "geoscientificInformation", "geospatial datasets", "hyperspectral", "hyperspectral imaging", "image collections", "image mosaics", "infrared imaging", "orthomosaics", "photogrammetry", "reflectance", "remote sensing", "structure from motion", "temperature", "thermal", "thermal imaging", "visible light imaging"], "modified": "2026-05-22T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-109.618371613588, 38.5833287546218, -109.834389391411, 38.7580623288493", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Hyperspectral Orthorectified Reflectance Images Collected during Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) Operations near Moab, Utah in May 2025"}
