The purpose of the cruise was to determine the hydrography in the area of GC248 in response to the Brutus rig discharge of approximately 88,000 gallons of crude into the Gulf of Mexico (2016-05-12). Data include profiles of pressure, temperature, conductivity, and salinity obtained with a SeaBird SBE19+ Seacat. Profiles are provided in hex and cnv format, accompanied by the original xmlcon file to enable export of derived variables. These CTD casts were made to determine the hydrography in the response area of GC248 as a result of the Brutus rig discharge of approximately 88,000 gallons of crude into the Gulf of Mexico.
