These elk migrate from low elevation elk feedgrounds and native winter ranges in the Upper Green River Basin to high elevation summer ranges in the Wyoming Range. In summer, some elk head further west into the Grey\u2019s River Basin from the Bench Corral and Forest Park feedgrounds. Challenges for Piney elk include energy development, especially in the southern portion of the herd unit.\nThese data provide the location of migration routes for Elk (Cervus canadensis) in the Piney herd in Wyoming. They were developed from Brownian bridge movement models using 306 migration sequences collected from a sample size of 158 animals comprising GPS locations collected every 2-8 hours.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.5f8db62282ce32418791d56f.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9O2YM6I", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_5f8db62282ce32418791d56f", "keyword": ["animal behavior", "United States", "migration routes", "Big Piney", "Wyoming", "migration (organisms)", "USGS:5f8db62282ce32418791d56f", "migratory species"], "modified": "2020-11-09T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-110.9987, 41.9243, -109.9069, 43.2754", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Migration Routes of Elk in the Piney Herd in Wyoming"}
