The data were collected by using a trawl-resistant Teledyne Oceanscience Barnacle53 mounted uplooking ADCP deployed on the seabed. This part of the data release contains the data pertaining to current velocities. Raw observations were collected at 1-minute intervals but are reported as the average values for to 10-minute intervals. All times are represented in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The measurements can be used to explore the oceanographic and sediment-transport processes associated with near-shore and beach erosion and deposition patterns.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.5fb7eedcd34eb413d5e148aa.xml", "format": "xml", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9HDIZOC", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "xml", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/usgs-5fb7eedcd34eb413d5e148aa", "keyword": ["Waves", "navigational data", "marine geophysics", "USGS:5fb7eedcd34eb413d5e148aa", "Port Isabel", "Pressure", "oceanographic observations", "temperature", "Cameron", "oceans", "South Padre Island", "Currents", "climatologyMeteorologyAtmosphere", "South Laguna Madre", "geoscientificInformation"], "modified": "2020-11-20T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Nearshore Current Observations Made Near South Padre Island, Texas, August 2018\u2013February 2019 (ver. 1.1, November 2020)"}
