    359 Drifting Surface Buoys were deployed in the Southern Hemisphere oceans from November 22, 1978 to January 13, 1981 as part of the First Global Atmospheric Research Program (GARP) Global Experiment (FGGE). This data set was submitted by Dr. John Garrett of the Institute Of Sciences (IOS), British Columbia, Canada.
