Water dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll-a taken by Niskin Bottles and laboratory analysis, and copepods zooplankton survey from the Colombian Navy vessel ARC Providencia in the Equatorial Pacific Ocean from 2004-09-19 to 2004-10-08 (NCEI Accession 0207880)

Metadata Updated: December 2, 2025

This dataset contains dissolved oxygen and 0-150m integrated chlorophyll-a concentrations obtained from Niskin Bottle water sample analysis as well as zooplankton copepods survey during PACIFIC XXXIX-ERFEN XXXVII cruise on board the ARC Providencia (Colombian Navy) from September to October 2004. Thirty nine CTD stations were conducted using SeaBird 19 CTD. In 25 out of 39 stations, seawater samples were collected by Niskin bottles at 8 depths (0, 10, 20, 30, 50, 75, 100 and 150 m) to determine the dissolved oxygen concentration by the Winkler method, chlorophyll-a, and phaeopigment concentrations following the Strickland & Parsons (1972) method. At these stations, zooplankton samples were collected using a bongo net (300 and 500 μm diameter) with a flow meter attached. The zooplankton net was dragged obliquely from 200 m up to surface. Original data are in XLS format, they were converted to CSV format by the NCEI.
