Trajectory profile data from glider ru30, including pH, total alkalinity, and aragonite saturation state, deployed by Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in the Mid-Atlantic Bight from 2021-02-26 to 2021-03-21 (NCEI Accession 0278635)

Metadata Updated: November 1, 2023

This archival package contains the trajectory profile data from glider ru30 from one seasonal deployment (2021-02-26 to 2021-03-21) to investigate carbonate chemistry and monitor ocean acidification seasonally in the Mid-Atlantic Bight. The glider used for the automated observation includes an integrated deep rated version of the Ion Sensitive Field Effect Transistor (ISFET)-based pH sensor. The pH sensor unit is complemented with existing glider sensors including a CTD, a WETLabs FLBBCD ECO puck configured for simultaneous chlorophyll fluorescence and optical backscatter measurements, and an Aanderaa Optode for measuring dissolved oxygen. This deployment out of Tuckerton, NJ ran a cross-shelf transect (along E line) to an offshore waypoint north of Carteret Canyon, then transected SSW to Wilmington Canyon, then NW back to Tuckerton, NJ. This glider track covered Atlantic sea scallop and Atlantic surfclam habitats in the southern MAB. This delayed mode, high-resolution post-processed dataset contains CTD, chlorphyll a, dissolved oxygen and pH data.
