    Lineage Monthly data files for mean sea surface temperature (SST) and sea surface temperature anomaly (SST anomaly) were downloaded from ftp.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/pub/sod/mecb/crw/data/5km/v3.1/nc/v1.0/monthly. Monthly files were created that contain both SST and SST anomaly data, and a mask of earth surface classifications.
