    To conduct oceanographic research in the northwestern Gulf of Mexico, 28 July ? 2 August 2016, to estimate oceanographic properties in the vicinity of Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. This is a Rapid Response Cruise that is investigating the environmental conditions associated with a massive die off event in the sanctuary. Cruise mobilization of TAMU science party begins at 1700 CST, 30 July 2016, at Galveston. The cruise designator for this cruise is FGB-RR16, please use this in all correspondence regarding the cruise.
