    This collection includes oceanographic and meteorological data collected during expeditions of vessels in the academic fleet, including biological, chemical, and physical observations. The data have been managed using the guidelines for comprehensive fleet-wide management of underway data developed by the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. The R2R program aims to ensure preservation of and access to our national oceanographic research data resources, and provides a gateway through which data are routinely cataloged and submitted to the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) for long-term archival.
