Metadata Updated: March 19, 2020

The Bureau for Global Health’s flagship Maternal and Child Survival Program (MCSP) focuses on 25 high-priority countries with the ultimate goal of preventing child and maternal deaths. The Program is introducing and supporting high-impact, sustainable reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health interventions in partnership with ministries of health and other partners. The general objective of the annual health and nutrition study is to measure changes in key health and nutrition indicators for children aged 0 to 59 months and their mothers in the area covered by the USAID-funded MCSP project in Guatemala, namely 30 selected municipalities in the western highlands region.
