AMI is updated annually in April by HUD. In this program, apartment communities have affordable units for eligible households earning up to 30% of the Area Median Income. Applicants must first obtain an UHNU certificate from DHCD before they can rent an apartment in these communities. In this program, apartment communities have affordable units for eligible households earning between 30% - 50% of the Area Median Income. Applicants must first obtain an ADU Rental Certificate from DHCD before they can rent an apartment in these communities. In this program, apartment communities have affordable units for eligible households earning up to 60% of the Area Median Income.
